I help individuals learn to eat to support their long-term health, feel in control of their eating behaviours, and obtain a healthy body weight by learning fundamental nutrition principles, building healthy habits, and having a healthy mindset in relation to eating–all, without having to go on a specific “diet”. My goal is to help clients make good nutrition sustainable while they focus on careers, families, and other priorities.
I obtained my Level 2 Certificate in Exercise Nutrition from Precision Nutrition which provided me advanced training to not just help clients with their food choices, but how to actually stay on track with their goals in the context of real-life challenges. My clients have access to Precision Nutrition’s ProCoach curriculum, which consists of daily lessons and habits (for up to 1 year, if desired) related to nutrition, health, and mindset.
ProCoach clients describe their experiences with Precision Nutrition‘s habit-based nutrition curriculum.

What is the difference between a dietician and nutrition coach?
A dietician is a registered health professional that is trained to prescribe meal plans and supplements for medical/therapeutic reasons. As a nutrition coach, I provide recommendations on nutrition to help people become healthier, support athletic performance, and make healthy eating sustainable, but not for treating specific medical conditions (though some health markers may improve due to a healthier diet/body weight).
Why should I hire you instead of a dietician?
Perhaps you should hire a dietician, especially if you have a specific medical condition which will be affected by nutrition! What I offer is long-term coaching and education (a curriculum developed by Precision Nutrition) that focuses on building the habits and mindset that support long-term health and nutrition for life. In addition to coaching nutrition, I also help people incorporate exercise and healthy movement into their lives so they can get fitter and feel better in their bodies.
Will I get a meal plan?
I teach clients the components of a healthy meal and appropriate amounts of food to eat in one day. That way, they always know how to create a balanced meal with appropriate portions instead of relying on prescribed plans. However, I can provide meal ideas that fit with your preferences.
What does nutrition coaching involve?
After an initial assessment, it consists of:
- Weekly check-in calls (up to 30 minutes).
- Written communication between check-ins as needed.
- Tracking data relevant to your goals such as food intake, body measurements, and mood.
- Creating a custom action plan to help you with your goals.
- Communication with health care providers and/or coaches as needed.
This coaching experience is enhanced by participating in Precision Nutrition’s ProCoach curriculum, which consists of daily lessons and habits (for up to 1 year, if desired) related to nutrition, health, and mindset.
Will I need to count my macros?
No. Counting macros is a more advanced strategy that is not necessary for most peoples’ goals. However, it may be an appropriate tool once you’ve mastered the fundamentals and would like to see further changes.
