Webinar 1: What You Need to Know About Balancing Health and Performance with Getting Lean

Friday May 22 at 12:00-1:00pm Pacific

This workshop is for weightlifters and coaches looking to maximize performance while getting/staying lean but without expert knowledge/guidance in sport nutrition. You will learn:

  • Signs and symptoms that an athlete is at risk for jeopardizing health and performance when training hard while limiting food intake
  • Nutrition and lifestyle strategies to optimize performance/health with leanness at the same time
  • What to do if fat loss stalls despite low food intake
  • How to get proper medical attention when relative energy deficiency in sport or female athlete triad is suspected

There’s a fine line between balancing performance/health and leanness–how do you achieve both without sacrificing one or the other, especially for females (but males too)? The term “relative energy deficiency in sport” (RED-S) is a relatively new term that describes the many negative consequences that can occur with a severe or chronic calorie deficit.

Webinar 2: Goodbye, MyFitnessPal: You Can Get Lean and Hit PRs without Counting Macros

Wed May 27 at 5:30-6:30pm Pacific

As a weightlifter, you want to use nutrition to optimize training while staying lean to maximize your competitiveness. Meticulously counting every gram of protein, carbs, and fat is one way to achieve that, but that is tedious without even being accurate.

In this 1 hour workshop, food-loving weightlifters who want to free themselves from restrictive diets and macro counting will learn:

  • The foundational nutrition habits to get and stay lean without counting calories/macros
  • How to eat to support training and competition
  • How to know if you are eating too much or too little
